Premier Resort (Not exactly roughing it) - "the epitome of luxury skiing"
The Skiing:

Defined by lavish amenities, impeccable service and slopes worthy of World Cup racing. Beaver Creek Resorts pampers discerning travelers seeking an alpine experience in a luxury resort setting. Firstly you don’t have to do much traipsing about in your ski boots because there are escalators that travel to the slopes from the plaza and bus area. Slopeside ski valets store your gear and warm your boots, and the guest service staff anticipate your every need. The white glove service also extends to extras such as handing out free cookies in the afternoon. At BC, all guests are treated like royalty.

The youngest major ski area in the United.States, Beaver Creek (base at 8,100') debuted in 1980 and has grown steadily in size and esteem. They receive an average of 310"/year and have snow-making capabilities covering 39% of the terrain.
The Beaver Creek ski terrain is below the treeline and spread across three mountains. Beaver Creek has two gondolas. One is just a short access gondola from the Riverfront Village and the other is also short and accesses the tubing area and one of the ski school learning areas. The majority of the terrain is serviced by 11 high speed quad chairs, which are very impressive. The resort now spans 1,815 acres across three base areas, creating a European-inspired village-to-village ski experience with diverse terrain, impeccable grooming that goes on 24/7 and world-class amenities and cuisine. They have 24 lifts servicing 150 trails.

It has a plethora of wide-groomed trails - well-suited for the beginner (38%) to intermediate (30% of terrain) or if you just want to cruise.

The majority of the terrain is serviced by 11 high speed quad chairs, which are very impressive. It has a number of steep terrains (Birds of Prey, the men’s 2018 World Cup downhill), bumps (anything on Grouse Mountain), and extreme terrain (Stone Creek Chutes) for the more advanced (32%) skier.

Beaver Creek has always been a great place to learn to ski, it gets even better with the debut of Haymeadow Park, complete with its own gondola and lift (beginner friendly), gentle terrain designed for newbies, and an Ice Cream Parlor inside “The Ranch” restaurant. (This is in addition to Red Buffalo Park, the resort’s mountaintop beginner area, which offers the ultimate on-mountain skiing experience for beginner and intermediate skiers, families and ski school guests.)

Recognized for Excellence

"SKI" Magazine ranks Beaver Creek among the top 10 ski resorts in the United.States. In 2019 it gained the magazines one of the "Best Resorts in the West."
