Mt. Bachelor is the 6th largest ski resort in North America and the 2nd largest single resort peak in the United States.

Trip Activities - 2019 Winter Carnival

This will be  a fun packed week with multiple activities including : Welcome Reception in Sunday apres-ski, on mountain guided tour, confluent dinner with live entertainment on Thursday, on mountain lunch, gate race training and ski race, daily drink specials at participating locations, and numerous giveaways at various events (silipint, bandana, group photo) Check out this FLYER!

Bend, Oregon's outdoor and urban playground

The friendly town of Bend offers a warm inviting mountain getaway with a cosmopolitan appeal. With a rich timber history, today it is the largest city in Central Oregon with a population of 87,000. Swanky bars occupy defunct mill buildings and offer 26 craft breweries making Bend beer scene only second to Portland. They also have a great selection of wineries and distilleries to choose from. Check out this video commentary by Drew Bledsoe, former NFL quarterback who lives in Bend, OR of why he loves Mt. Bachelor.

Mt Bachelor
Located in central Oregon, Mt. Bachelor rises 9,065 feet, creating an endless winter from Thanksgiving to July! The mountain has an almost mythic reputation among purists for the quality of its snow.   A comprehensive series of 10 chairlifts including 7 high speed quads gives you access to the entire mountain covering powder chutes, forested trails, cruising runs, and above-the-tree line snow fields with fun for every ability level. A new lift Cloudchaser was opened in December 17, 2016 opening up an additional 625 acres of skiing.  By careful design, beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain is accessible off most lifts so families and friends can enjoy their favorite type of skiing and still stay in the same general area to ride the lifts. With 3,686 acres of skiable terrain, you won’t get bored with this majestic beauty.  Check out all of these other optional skiing and non-skiing activities for additional cost: ACTIVITIES.

If you need refresher ski lessons, hone your skills or want to explore the mountain in a small group, check out these options. There are other mountain activities you may want to explore: Big Mountain Heli Tour, sled dog rides or snow shoe tours.

Accommodations

We will be staying at the Riverhouse Hotel & Convention Center, nestled on the banks of the Deschutes River.  This is Central Oregon's premier hotel, with lots of specialty restaurants and night life within walking distance.  Our two-person hotel rooms have two queen size beds, a microwave, and fridge.  In addition, each morning we will enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast before attacking the slopes.

If you've never been to Mt. Bachelor or are returning you'll want to know where to dine - so check out this list of local establishments to get a jump start.
