We are excited to offer for the first time in a number of years a trip to the Wasatch Mountains where you'll find an amazing playground at Snowbird Ski Resort. They are known around the world for the abundance of light dry Wasatch powder that falls, with an amazing average annual snowfall of 500 inches! Utah is proud to claim of having the “Greatest Snow on Earth” is arguably really true at Snowbird. The quality of the powder is enhanced due to the high elevation.

Statistics for the Snowbird ski resort look like this - 3,240 feet of vertical, 2,500 acres of skiing terrain, 169 runs serviced by 13 lifts, one of which is the famous Snowbird tram. Accordingly, the trail breakdown is 27% beginner, 38% intermediate and 35% advanced/expert. However the statistics aren't enough to describe how good the Snowbird skiing terrain is for experienced riders. Famous for deep powder and steep chutes, bowls and trees, Snowbird Utah is a dream ski vacation destination. Snowbird is generally though for the more experienced skier.
There are 3 main areas for Snowbird skiing and snowboarding: Peruvian Gulch, Gad Valley and Mineral Basin. Peruvian Gulch is serviced by the Peruvian Express and the aerial tram, and it features some fabulously nasty runs off the Cirque Traverse that go the whole vertical of the mountain. The area is primarily north to northeast facing – so the snow will be awesome! Gad Valley has terrain suitable for all ability levels and
runs such as Tiger Tail to the skiers’ left of the Gad 2 chair provides more of a "back country-type" experience. Mineral Basin is on the backside of the mountain and is a bit “gentler” than the front-side. It faces south - so it’s a good place for some sun baking. The terrain is wide open with very few trees and there is an abundance of powder.
The pedestrian village of Snowbird, UT is not really a village in the truest sense. There’s no “main street” where you can stroll and visit the shops, restaurants and bars. The village is made up of several concrete avalanche-proof buildings as opposed to most Alta buildings, which are
Slopeside and Ski-In/Ski-Out Accommodations!
The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird is one of North America’s most iconic ski lodges. The accommodations are 2 Queens/Room. The majesty of Little Cottonwood Canyon can be explored from the views each room provides whether facing Snowbird’s ski slopes or peering down the glacially carved canyons spilling into the Salt Lake City valley below.

Enjoy ski-in/ski-out convenience and excellent service with a luxurious resort experience. The Lodge is within walking distance of the pedestrian village. It also has an on-site ski rental (we will have a 20% discount off rental equipment at Cliff Sports and Snowbird Sports demo center), repair shop and complimentary lockers. Other amenities of the lodge include an exercise room, resort-wide internet service, room service, concierge and a state-licensed daycare facility.
The Cliff Spa is open year-round, which includes a heated swimming pool and three hot tubs located outdoors on Level 3. Located on the 9th and 10th floors, The Cliff Spa features over 30 treatment and salon services, yoga studio, fitness center, rooftop pool and hot tub. Access to The Cliff Spa is available for guests for an additional fee, but we will have a club discount for those who wish to avail themselves of these amenities.
We will have a private charter round-trip from the SLC airport to Snowbird Lodging. We will also have the opportunity to do some grocery shopping/liquor stop (1 hour).
