THE SKIING


Mammoth Mountain is famous for its expansive terrain, with over 3,500 skiable acres and a summit elevation of 11,053 feet.

The resort receives an average of 400 inches of snowfall annually, providing excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding.

The resort features 28 lifts, including gondolas and high-speed quads, and more than 150 named trails that cater to all skill levels, from beginner to expert.

Mammoth Mountain is also well-known for its top-notch terrain parks, which include jumps, rails, and halfpipes. Unbound Main Park is one of the largest and most popular, attracting freestyle skiers and snowboarders with its innovative features and meticulously maintained terrain.

THE TOWN / VILLAGES

Mammoth Lakes, California, is a picturesque mountain town nestled in the Eastern Sierra Nevada range. Known for its stunning natural beauty, the town is surrounded by the towering peaks of the Sierra, lush forests, and crystal-clear alpine lakes.

Mammoth Lakes is renowned for its outdoor recreational opportunities.  In the winter, the town transforms into a snowy paradise with Mammoth Mountain Ski Area offering world-class skiing and snowboarding. The expansive terrain and reliable snowfall attract visitors from all over the world. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are also popular winter activities while the Ansel Adams Wilderness is only 15 miles away.

In addition to its natural attractions, Mammoth Lakes boasts a charming village with a variety of shops, restaurants, and accommodations. The town has a vibrant arts and culture scene, hosting events and festivals throughout the year.

There is a vibrant dining scene with around 60 to 70 restaurants. This number includes a wide range of dining options, from casual cafes and family-friendly eateries to fine dining establishments and specialty food spots.

In and near Mammoth Lakes, California, there are approximately 15 spas. This number includes a mix of full-service spas, wellness centers, and smaller boutique spas offering various treatments such as massages, facials, body treatments, and holistic therapies.

THE LODGING

Juniper Springs Resort is designed to provide guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay, featuring a wide range of amenities. Each condominium is equipped with a full kitchen, including modern appliances, cookware, and utensils, allowing guests to prepare meals during their stay. 

Many condominiums feature gas fireplaces. 

Private patios offer views of the surrounding mountains and nature.  Complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs with cable are standard in all units.

The resort features ski-in/ski-out at the base of Eagle Lodge, an outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub, a well-equipped fitness center, 24-hour concierge and free shuttle service to nearby attractions and dining/shopping.

TRANSPORTATION AND AIRLINE 

Depart Austin the morning of 3/22/25 with arrival into Bishop Airport midafternoon on United Airlines.**

A short shuttle ride to Juniper Springs Resort.

Depart Mammoth on 3/29/25 with an evening return to Austin.


 

**You may select a “Ground Only” option if you plan to make your own flight arrangements or plan on driving to Mammoth.

LIFT TICKET OPTIONS / INFORMATION

Lift tickets are not included in the trip price.  You can buy an IKON pass or buy discount tickets when you register for the trip.
