From Zagreb to Dubrovnik

The Austin Skiers and Los Amigos Ski Club joining forces with a Second boat with the same itinerary!

We will be on the beautiful first class Melody!

September 13 to september  28, 2018 

  • We will be staying aboard the 15 cabin first class Melody motorboat which has an upper and lower deck.  More information about the boat provided at the end
  • Austin Skiers is chartering the entire boat for this trip and will not accept any cancellations (Substitutions are permitted).  You are encouraged to purchase trip insurance to protect your investment when you sign up.
  • Price is per person double occupancy. The cost is approximately (air cost and other items are subject to change) $4,272 for Main Deck and $4,172 for Lower Deck for full trip. 
  • Ground only (does not include air, but does include all transfers and tours) is $3,286 Main Deck and $3,186 for lower deck. 
  • Air fare is approximately $1,036 (subject to change with additional fuel surcharges and departure taxes).

  • Transfers between Zagreb Airport and 4 Star Hotel Panorama ( via private coach with city tour enroute. We will have a 1 night accommodation at 4 Star Hotel Panorama in downtown Zagreb. Breakfast will be at the Hotel Panorama. 
  • Transfer between Zagreb and Trogir Sea Port with a stop in Zadar along the way via private coach. There will be a 7 night cruise on the Melody’s National Parks Tour. We will have 4 days of "Full Board" meals (Breakfast Lunch & Dinner with 3 days of "Half Board" (Breakfast, Lunch OR Dinner). There will be a Tour guide/on-board Manager
  • Visitors tax and bottled water fees of  40 Euros per person (This amount will be paid directly to the ship captain in cash and will be paid by the trip chair.  It is included in your final payment).
  • Standard 21-speed Trekking bike and bike insurance is provided as part of the base package. You have the option to purchase for $115 an Electric bike

  • Transfer between Trogir Sea Port and Split via private coach including City tour. There will be 1 night accommodation in Split at 5 Star Hotel Atrium ( with Breakfast Buffet
  • Transfer between Split and Dubrovnik via Mostar with city tour and entrance into Turkish House. We will have 2 Nights accommodations at 5 Star Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel ( in Dubrovnik with breakfast buffet daily. There will be a City tour of Dubrovnik.
  • Transfer between Dubrovnik and Zagreb via private coach with city tours enroute with 2 Nights accommodations in Zagreb at 4 Star Hotel Aristos ( breakfast buffet daily. Transfer between Zagreb Hotel and Airport via private coach.
  • There will be English-speaking on all transfers and tours

Imagine... riding your bike (electric available) with friends through a country with picturesque pebbled beaches, lapped by crystal clear water. Zlatni Rat is the best known, and adorns just about every travel brochure. Croatia has the world's atmospheric Roman ruins. The remains of Diocletian’s Palace in Split, another Game of Thrones filming location, is now the buzzing heart of the city. 

The port city of Pula in Istria is noted for its first-century Roman amphitheatre, one of the best preserved in the world. If you're a coffee lover, Zagreb-the inland capital of Croatia, is replete with fabulous cafes – the residents take their coffee drinking very seriously indeed.


THURSDAY-FRIDAY 09/13-09/14 
Be at the airport no later than 3 hours prior to departure. Upon arrival at the airport, check in for your Flight to Zagreb, Croatia.

Upon arrival in Zagreb, proceed through passport control, collect your bags and go through customs. Once through customs, proceed out the main doors into the arrivals hall. Here you will meet the rep from Travel Europe holding a sign marked, “TEXAS GROUP”  who will direct you to the bus.

On the bus you will enjoy a city tour enroute to your hotel, arriving just before 4:30PM. Upon arrival, Check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast, meet the bus in front of the hotel today for the transfer between Zagreb and the Trogir Cruise port. Enroute you will stop at the beautiful city of Zadar for some light touring on your own and a chance to get lunch before continuing to Trogir to join the ship.

Once in Trogir, the bus will drop you off at the pier for the first-class yacht, The Melody,  so that you may begin the cruise.  Dinner on board this evening


SATURDAY 09/15: Trogir (Embarkation) - Rogoznica: 
After the check in on the motor yacht (between 2 and 2.30 pm) we leave Trogir around 3 pm. During the crossing to Rogoznica the fresh sea breeze can be enjoyed. Later in the afternoon there is time to adjust the bicycles.

SUNDAY 09/16: Rogoznica – Vodice – Slanica – Nature Park Telašcica (aprx. 16 mi./27 km)

In the morning the boat takes us to Vodice. We go for our first cycle tour starting at the popular resort and soon we cross the bridge to the island of Murter. In Slanica, in the Northwest of the island the boat awaits us for the cross over to the island of Dugi Otok. On our way we pass the National Park Kornati – an archipelago in crystal clear water which is known for its rich underwater world. Our destination is the deeply incised Telašćica Bay. In the local nature park the Mir salt lake is situated. At the end of the day we take a short hike to the impressive cliffs before taking a short crossing by boat to the small seaside village of Sali for the night.

MONDAY 09/17:  Islands of Dugi Otok and Molat (aprx. 23 mi + 13 mi./48 km + 19 km) 
From the Telašćica nature park we cycle across the almost traffic-free island of Dugi Otok until we finally reach the pine forest, agave and tamarisk bay of Božava. From there the boat takes us to the flower island of Molat. We explore the island on a short cycle tour. Today’s night is spent in the quiet port of the island.

TUESDAY 09/18:  Islands of Ugljan and Pasman - Zadar (aprx. 12 – 25 mi./20 – 40 km) 
During breakfast the boat takes us on a crossing to Preko on the island of Ugljan. From here our tour will take us to Tkon on the island of Pasman. There is plenty of time to explore the two islands of Pasman and Ugljan, married by a bridge, on your bikes. The tour follows the eastern coastline of the islands giving you a great view across the channel to the mainland. After a round tour we will meet the ship again in Preko. A short crossing takes us to Zadar, the century old political, cultural and intellectual capital of Dalmatia. Our tour guide will take us for an informative stroll through the bustling streets of the old town centre, characterized by 3000 years of history.

WEDNESDAY 09/19:  Biograd – Vodice – Skradin (aprx. 35 mi./55 km) 

The morning begins with a passage by boat to the city of Biograd followed by a bike tour around the Vraner Lake. Our goal, the swimming destination of Vodice. The Vraner Lake is the largest fresh water reservoir in Dalmatia and offers many migratory birds an opportunity to rest their wings. The ship awaits us in Vodice for lunch. An afternoon crossing by boat brings us closer to the Krka waterfalls which we will have time to explore the following day in the company of our tour guide.


THURSDAY 09/20: Krka-Waterfalls – Šibenik
After breakfast it is time to discover the unique naturally formed waterfalls of the national park of the Krka-Canyon. Afterwards the boat will take us to Šibenik out of the Krka river mouth and into the Adriatic. Here the Cathedral of St. Jacob is under UNESCO-World-Heritage protection and is regarded as the most magnificent sacral buildings on the Adriatic coast. The old town of Šibenik is bacons with its charm for an evening walk.

FRIDAY 09/21: Primošten - Trogir (aprx. 23 mi./37 km)
In the morning we cruise to Primošten. From here we cycle through the hinterland passing small villages, all the way to Trogir. Many magical views of the town and the island of Čiovo invite for short breaks and taking pictures. The afternoon offers enough time for a stroll through the world cultural heritage old town of Trogir. After dinner we round our eventful trip with a cosy come-together with crew and tour guides.  

This marks the end point of the cruise. After breakfast you will meet the bus from Travel Europe at the pier to begin the short journey to Split.

The transfer to Split will include a city tour enroute ending at the hotel. Once at the hotel, check-in and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

After breakfast meet the bus in front of the hotel this morning for the transfer to Dubrovnik. Enroute the transfer will take you through Mostar where you will enjoy a tour and visit the Turkish House.

Once at your Dubrovnik hotel, enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast, meet the bus from Travel Europe in front of the hotel today to enjoy the city tour of Dubrovnik. Today we will visit Knezev Dvor Palace as well as a Franciscan Monastery and the oldest pharmacy in Europe.
Dinner on your own at your hotel or in town this evening.

After breakfast meet the bus from Travel Europe and begin the transfer up the coast to the city of Zadar. Upon arrival enjoy a short city tour of the town with a local English speaking guide. The tour will end at your hotel, where you can check-in and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

After breakfast, meet the bus from Travel Europe to begin the transfer to Zagreb. Enroute you will stop at the Plitvice National park to enjoy a train and boat trip through the beautiful National Park.  Tour will end in Zagreb at approximately 4:30PM, where you will check-in to the hotel and enjoy the last night in Croatia at your leisure.

Meet the bus from Travel Europe in front of the hotel today for the transfer to Zagreb Airport and your flight Amsterdam.  We will be staying in the four-star Best Western Plus Amedia Hotel near the Amsterdam airport.

Meet the bus in front of the hotel this morning for the short transfer ride to the Amsterdam Airport for our flight back to the USA.

First Class Boat “Melody“ (all cabins with en-suite facilities)
Built in 2014/2015, the 42 m long and 8,30 m wide Melody is a floating deluxe hotel, crafted for the regeneration of body and mind, which accompanies your journey to Croatia‘s most beautiful harbor towns. The 15 capacious guest cabins (14 – 15 sqm) are characterized by a high-class interior with air conditioning, shower cabin and toilet, hairdryer, SAT-TV, and safe. Eight of the above deck cabins have two single beds and another two cabins are equipped with a double bed. One of the below deck located cabins has three separated beds, two other cabins below deck have two separate beds and the last two cabins have a double. Double beds: 200 x 160 cm, twin beds: 200 x 90 cm, all with Diamona mattresses.

The salon of Melody impresses with its generous amount of space and elegant ambiance. Dark parquet floor and chairs stylishly contrast with the white and black stools at the bar. The large tables invite you to linger and turn into a richly laid banquet table at mealtimes. Relaxation is limitless on the spacious sundeck, in the wellness room or the jacuzzi on the top deck is a highlight with its 360° panoramic view.  You will find sun mats and deckchairs on deck.  Eight crew members are registered under captain Pave to cater for the well-being of the passengers on board.

The ship is especially adapted to the needs of Electric bike cruises. An extra cargo hold in the bunt will be equipped with enough power sockets for the battery stations; a loading ramp will make the embarkation and disembarkation for the E-bikes less complicated.
