Talk
about convenience!
The Texas Ski Council
heard that we had such a good time at this premier ski and fun resort,
they picked it for their biggest trip of the year.
Lodging:
We will be at the center of the action,
staying in the Village at Breckenridge condominiums, which are located
less than 100 yards from the slopes and about 100 yards from Main Street
entertainment and shopping. The photo below was taken from our condos
last year. You can see the lift is just a few steps away!

The Skiing:
Breckenridge offers FOUR HUGE PEAKS with over 2,350 acres of skiing and
riding, five terrain parks, four half-pipes, two high-speed
six-passenger Superchairs, unparalleled grooming, a top-notch Ski & Ride
School, exciting events, and a historic mining town. At 9,600 feet, with
over 300 days of sunshine and an average of 300 inches of snowfall per
year, Breckenridge is the Perfect Mountain Town.
In 2007, the perfect mountain town got
a little more perfect with the addition of 150 acres of expert terrain,
and Breckenridge's first gondola. In December 2005, Breckenridge Ski
Resort added the Imperial Express SuperChair, the highest chairlift in
North America, reaching 12,840 feet.
At Breckenridge, the art of grooming is
taken seriously. Between the (3) Zaugs, (3) Winchcats and (23) Snowcats,
20 out of 24 hours a day are dedicated to grooming - that equals more
than 20,000 machine hours each year! In addition to grooming every
green, every blue, every night, look for enhanced grooming on expert
trails located off the new Imperial Express SuperChair.
The Town:
Breck’s four peaks tower over an
authentic 147-year old Victorian town with endless shopping, dining and
nightlife. There are over 180 shops and boutiques and 79 bars and
restaurants to please all tastes and budgets. From quaint coffee shops
to bustling breweries, it’s easy to find the perfect place to enjoy a
meal and the mountain lifestyle. Unlike many ski resorts that get quiet
at night, Breckenridge lights up when the sun sets. But, don’t forget,
lifts open at 8:30am.
