Oct 9 Beer Tasting

“It’s almost Fall in Texas and time for another “Fine Spirits” tasting – with a twist. We will explore the history of beer, from the earliest known recipe to neo-experimental offerings and sample 10-12 select beers. The family tree of beer is a diverse one, with simple beginnings as Ale and Lager, all branching into light, dark, sweet, bitter, sour, and infinitely more variations of your favorite pint. Learn the process of beer making, and how water, barley, hops, and yeast helped spur and sustain modern civilization.

In between the tastings, we will have cheese, crackers &/pretzels, followed with bratwurst, garlic bread, potato salad & cooked red cabbage, and topped off with hot apple pie.

 The “beer tasting” will be held at the home of an Austin Skiers & Boarders home on Saturday, October 9 at 7pm. The cost is $15 per person and limited to the first 30 people confirming attendance.
